Green Tea

Tasting Notes
Fresh nutty toasted notes.

About
Genmaicha Tea was first introduced to Japan around the turn of the first millennium, and since then it's become much more than just a drink. When Japanese farmers first tried the trick of adding toasted rice to their tea, they soon realised that the springlike taste of steamed green tea was a surprisingly good match for crispy, roasted flavours. Popped pieces of toasted rice give the appearance of popcorn, and Genmaicha tends to be a hit with anyone fond of the slightly savoury taste the Japanese call “umami”.

Ingredients: Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea), Rice Kernels
